Ultrafiltration
Ultrafiltration is a modern technology for drinking water purification which completely removes bacteria, viruses, parasites and sediment without any use of chemicals.
Nubian’s ultrafiltration products are sourced from Seccua the global technology leader.
Our UF systems have been proven in extensive tests to remove 99.99% of all pathogens. This means that, after filtration, the drinking water it produces is completely free of bacteria – no further disinfection is required.
Nubian offers ultrafiltration solutions for a range of applications:
- Point-of-entry filtration – providing purification for ‘whole of building’ requirements in homes, hotels, restaurants, office buildings and industrial plants
- Local, authority-run drinking water purification – for use in decentralised water treatment plants
- Drinking water purification in mobile environments – ideal for aircraft, ships and trains
Our ultrafiltration systems are modular and can purify up to a million litres of water a day. They run fully automatically and are easy and inexpensive to install and operate. They are ideal for places with no connection to a central water supply and so rely on rainwater and stormwater.

UV Disinfection
UV light disinfection is an effective treatment to kill waterborne microorganisms. It produces no known carcinogenic disinfection by-products and produces no tastes and odours.
Nubian uses the world leading Hallett and Upstream UV disinfection systems manufactured by UV Pure. These systems are unique amongst small scale UV systems because:
The patented ‘Crossfire’ technology ensures a uniform UV light dose which minimises the possibility of pathogen particles being shielded from exposure to the UV light
They have an automatic cleaning mechanism which avoids the need to remove and manually clean the quartz tube
The systems can be remotely monitored and operated
We can provide UV disinfection systems that are NSF/ANSI 55 Class A Certified, the global gold standard accepted by environmental regulatory agents worldwide. For drinking water purification or rainwater harvesting & stormwater harvesting they can be operated individually or built into banks of units for treatment of large flows or the provision of high UV doses.
